Major earthworks have begun at Western Sydney Airport, with about 25 million cubic metres of earth to be moved to make way for the construction of the airport's terminal, runway and ground access. Brisbane Airport passenger numbers rise again in 2018-19

Brisbane Airport 2018-19 passenger numbers rose to a record  of nearly 23.8 million travellers, a 1.5 per cent year-on-year increase. The result was supported by strong international passenger growth of 4.5 per cent, with an additional 266,000 travellers departing or arriving in 2018-19.
