Brisbane Airport takes out awards trifecta

Brisbane Airport has won three awards at the Routes Asia 2019 Marketing Awards, recognising its work together with tourism and government agencies to attract new air services to the city.

The airport was named the overall winner of the awards and also won the 20+ million passenger category, edging out competition from Fukuoka International Airport, Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Melbourne Airport, Shanghai Pudong International Airport and Singapore Changi Airport.

Brisbane Marketing also won the destination category for its marketing campaigns.

The wins followed a busy two years, with the airport securing new services from seven airlines, as well as increasing the frequency of a number of existing services.

The awards were held in Cebu Philippines on Monday.
