Lendlease to deliver Gold Coast terminal expansion
Gold Coast Airport has appointed international property and infrastructure group Lendlease to deliver its southern terminal expansion.
The project will see the development of a three-level terminal, including aerobridges, to the south of the airport’s current facility.
It is the next phase of the $370 million Project LIFT airport redevelopment, which will generate up to 1500 jobs during construction. The first phase of the project was completed last year, delivering a 20,000 square metre expansion of the airport’s apron to create more aircraft parking space leading into the Commonwealth Games.
Queensland Airports Limited CEO Chris Mills said Lendlease’s appointment represented a significant step forward for the project, which would address capacity issues and pave the way for future passenger growth.
